What's the PREPARATION?
Preparation depends on the conditions of the existing sub-floor or surface; usually consists of Grinding, Scratching the surface to have the proper or necessary condition for better bonding and then the imperfections such as: ​cracks, holes or others must be repaired or patched by the recommended material by the manufacturer. 
​
NOTE: ​IF THE SUB-FLOOR / SURFACE IS NOT SMOOTH, FLAT, EVEN OR LEVELED; MEANS OUT OF THE BASIC PREPARATION.
​Definitely prep process will be done in another way. Any additional will have an extra charge.
HOW LONG WILL EPOXY FLOORS LAST?​
Typically, flooring lasts  depends on the Epoxy Floor System type, use or purpose. Commercial & Industrial properties with lots of daily foot or heavy traffic can expect 2 or 3 years. However, with proper care and maintenance, your epoxy flooring may last much longer.
For residential spaces that use epoxy flooring; homeowners can expect to keep their epoxy flooring looking great for even longer.
Typically, residential epoxy flooring can last up to 5, 7, 10 years with proper care.
Some Epoxy Floor systems are are like a hardwood Floor, Ceramic, Marble, etc. If every time you move a piece of furniture, Object or any completely hard material ​will damage the surface if you don't lift it or if you drop it.
what's the THICKNESS?
Thickness goes from 3 mils (microns) to 12 mils (microns) depending
on  ​the Epoxy Floor System  you choose. 

Epoxy Coatings at/from 1/16" to 1/8" thickness approximate.
​(Multiple coatings subject to charge).
Urethane Cement from 3/16" to 1/2" thickness.
Quartz Epoxy  from 3/16" to 1/4" thickness.
Mortar-Epoxy & Aggregate from 3/16" & UP.
Self Leveling Concrete from 1/4" to 1" thickness. ​
3 Mils = 0.0762 Millimeters  /  3 Mils = 0.003 inches
12 Mils = 0.3048 Millimeters  /  3 Mils = 0.012 inches
IMPORTANT
It is very important to mention that taking measures to make a floor 100% perfect when finished, ​there will always be small unexpected details such as dust flying in the air, like insects or something else that is caused naturally.
​Usually this happens when the last coating is applied. Sometimes  probably bubbles appear between each or the last layer commonly happens: Out gassing; it consists of a phase transition of a liquid into a vapor of the same substance,  chemical reactions  between components, etc.
